Be A Friend Scholarship
Recipients of the Be A Friend Scholarship Award for the 2020/2021 school year will be selected by a committee of members not located within Grayson county. The committee also takes into consideration the input of the teaching staff at Pottsboro High School. The scholarship award will be in the amount of $2,000 and shall be used for books, supplies and tuition as needed for any college, university, trade or career school of their choice.
ELIGIBILITY
To be considered for this scholarship, the applying student must be a high school senior at Pottsboro High School. This scholarship is in honor of our son, brother and friend, Nathan Halfmann and is intended to honor his memory. In doing so, we are looking for someone who thinks of others before themselves, welcomes new and existing students with a big smile, has a heart for helping others, and always gives their best in all they do. This doesn’t mean being the best but working with what you have and giving it your all, just like Nathan did.
